Why We Built This

We’re excited to roll out an update that lets you verify a renter’s full income picture—even when you start with Plaid’s net deposits alone. The new Include / Exclude Income Streams control gives you one-click flexibility to count or discount any stream pulled from Argyle, Plaid, or uploaded paystub and W-2 documents. At the same time, VERO automatically records every action for compliance at the application level.

Key Benefits

Bridge the Net-to-Gross Gap

Combine Plaid net deposits with gross pay stub or Argyle data so income-to-rent checks pass when they should.

Instant Control

Click Include or Exclude on any stream; enter a required reason.

Compliance Built-In

Every action is logged with user, timestamp, provider, and reason.

Fewer Escalations

Leasing teams resolve income mismatches on the spot—no support tickets needed.

How to Enable the Capability 🔒

Step

Action

1 · Choose Users/Roles

Decide which team members should manage income streams.

2 · Contact Your CSM

Email your Customer Success Manager with the user names or role(s).

3 · Permission Added

Your CSM adds the Include/Exclude Income Streams permission to the requested role(s).

4 · Refresh & Go

Users log out/in or refresh VERO; the action menu appears next to each stream.

Security Note

The feature is locked to roles with the new permission. Users without that permission can view income streams but cannot include or exclude them.

FAQs

Does this change the Lumen recommendation?

Yes. Lumen recalculates immediately after you include/exclude a stream.

Can I reverse an action?

Absolutely. Use the opposite action and add a new reason. Both events remain in the audit log.

Who sees my changes?

All users with application access see the updated totals and audit entry. Only users with the permission can make changes.
